Playground

Children are very welcome – we have plenty of space, a children’s menu and our own playground. There is also plenty of room for parking prams.

THE ORGANIC CUISINE LABEL

We have been awarded the Silver Organic Cuisine Label which means serving 60–90% organic food in our restaurant.

The majority of our vegetables, dairy products and cereals are organic, and the drinks menu includes organic coffee, wine, juice and beer. For example, we source our raw vegetables such as Jerusalem artichokes, beetroot and potatoes from Sørisgaard, which operates organic production powered by wind turbines, and our free-range chicken is from the Rokkedahl family in North Denmark, who focus on animal welfare, sustainable operation and high-quality meat.
We serve some 130,000 cups of coffee over the counter each year, so here, too, we’ve prioritised organic coffee by Lavazza, which is organic, bio-certified and 100% Rainforest Alliance certified.

• Can I buy a gift card for your café?

  Yes, you can buy gift cards for specific products and that can be used anywhere in the building.

• Is it a family-friendly venue?

  Yes, we have room for everyone at Charlottehaven, including the kids. Our nature playground in the courtyard is usually a big hit, especially in the summer, when parents can keep an eye on their kids from the terrace. There’s also room for pram parking in the courtyard.
  
  Every child receives a little activity bag. Just for fun.

• Are pets permitted in the café?

  No. Sorry.

• Is your meat from Denmark?

  Yes it is. We buy from local producers.

• Where can I find details on allergies and nutrition?

  The menu gives details of whether our dishes are gluten-free, lactose-free, pescetarian or vegetarian. We also state if there are traces of nuts. For more details, please contact our personnel.

• Do you serve gluten- and/or lactose-free alternatives?

  Yes of course. We state whether the dishes listed in the menu are gluten- or lactose-free.

   

• Do I need to book a table?

  We always recommend booking a table. Especially for brunch at the weekends

• Can I hold a private event in the café?
